Holding Next Year’s Thanksgiving Dinner in Your Garage Isn’t a “Fowl Idea”

This year, you enjoyed the festivities at your sister-in-law’s Thanksgiving event, but next year, it’s your turn to host the family Thanksgiving dinner–are you ready? Are you wondering where you’ll fit all of your family, friends, and that huge turkey? Your organized garage, with its Orlando garage floor coating, is the perfect place to host your family’s annual Thanksgiving extravaganza.

You have a year to prepare, but it’s never too early to start planning. Next November, hang some globe string lights across your garage ceiling to create ambience. Next, think of where to set up the banquet tables and chairs, a beverage station, and a buffet table for easy access to all the delicious food. Cover your tables with similar or coordinating tablecloths to give your soiree a unified and festive look. If you’re feeling extra decorative, buy some burlap at a craft store and create a runner for the center of your tables. This touch will add a bit of rustic texture to your décor. You can also purchase some mason jars and place small candles in them to give your dinner a classic feel. For memorable touches of color, purchase some artificial fall leaves from a craft store and sprinkle them over the burlap runner–since fall is coming to a close, you may be able to purchase these items on sale. Don’t forget to include some Thanksgiving-themed decorations like small turkey or pilgrim figurines, gourds, and pumpkins on your beverage and banquet tables to complete the mood.

On Thanksgiving day, depending upon the weather, you may be able to open your garage door and let your guests take in the autumn breezes. If it’s a chilly day, your guests will remain warm in your cozy banquet room, surrounded by the smells of your freshly baked apple and pumpkin pies. Either way, they won’t be sweating by the oven. Not only will you have plenty of room to eat and socialize, but you’ll also have an easier time cleaning up, especially if you have an ArmorSeal floor coating systems. Cranberry sauce and gravy spills will wipe up easily, leaving no food residue or stains behind.

If you plan on having your Thanksgiving dinner in your new, Black Friday-refurbished dining room next year, why not use your spacious garage to set-up a cozy home theatre? Surround your large flat screen TV with comfy chairs to watch the game after dinner. Include a table with some finger foods and beverages for those who like to munch as they watch.
